Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to assess the health of your soil using simple, low-cost methods. No special tools or lab equipment needed! We will guide you through easy do-it-yourself assessment techniques using your senses and common household items. We will assess soil from various locations around the EsoTerra Arboretum, in addition to soil from your own farm or garden. If you would like to assess your own soil, please bring a large, intact, shovel full in a bucket or bag (you’ll want at least 4 cups of soil)
